CONDUCTING
Emilie De Voght is a choral conductor, vocal coach and classical singer. She currently leads five choirs in Belgium, ranging from enthusiastic amateur choirs to advanced chamber ensembles.
Her approach to conducting starts with the voice. Drawing on her experience as a professional ensemble soprano and her training in choral conducting, she pays particular attention to vocal freedom, choral sound, intonation, musical precision and expression.
She enjoys working with singers towards a shared musical goal: listening to one another, taking responsibility for one’s own voice and growing together towards a convincing performance.
