Soprano Emilie DE VOGHT studied with Dina Grossberger at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and obtained her Master's degree with great distinction. She continued her studies with Margarida Natividade and Ann de Renais . From 2017 to 2020, she was coached by the Dutch mezzo-soprano Marion van den Akker . She is currently working with Neil Baker (UK).

 

She has already taken masterclasses with Montserrat Caballé, Udo Reinemann, Jard van Nes, Alexander Oliver, and Axel Everaert.

As a soloist, she has performed with the Flemish Radio Choir , Collegium Vocale Gent , Currende conducted by Erik Van Nevel, and La Petite Bande conducted by Sigiswald Kuijken. She worked for more than ten years with Collegium Vocale Gent under conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Ivan Fischer, James Wood, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Marcus Creed.

 

She is a founding member of the Odysseia Ensemble and the chamber music ensemble Les Fêtes Galantes, and collaborates with the Nadar Ensemble , which specializes in contemporary music.

 

In 2012, she won the 1st prize at the International Bell'Arte Singing Competition (B). Her participation in the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2011 (B) also did not go unnoticed.

 

From 2012 till 2016, Emilie was also a regular guest with VocaalLAB (now Silbersee), a Dutch company specializing in music theatre, and was thus able to perform creations under the direction of conductors such as Filip Rathé and Reinbert de Leeuw. With this company, she made her debut at La Monnaie in April 2013 with the chamber opera 'Les Aveugles' by Daan Janssens (co-production with LOD and Musiques Nouvelles).

 

Her love for chamber music, and for Lied in particular, has already brought her into contact with various pianists, and in this context, she also received coaching from Inge Spinette, Wolfram Rieger, and Erik Schneider.

 

In the autumn of 2018, she performed the Autumn Concert at the Royal Palace as a soloist with the Royal Band of the Guides, as well as the Gala Concert of the Guides at Bozar.
